My sister blog to "Adventures of a Sell out"

I've just read my friend Lauren's blog "Adventures of a Sellout", And I quite agree. I've been in a terrible spot with Christ. Basically ignoring his warnings and telling myself what I'm doing is not as bad at what others are doing, or at least I'm not doing it in public. But even if you don't do or say those things in public, you are still saying and doing those things. your friends and family are not the jury for your eternal fate, God is and he see's and knows everything of your heart and mind. What Lauren said about not worring to much about your life is what I strive to do but I've been distracted lately with life ironically enough. God is all I really need and I know because I've been in a place where all I had was him and it didn't have to do with not having anything else. It happens only for a few seconds and once you realize you have it, it's gone. That feeling of total joy and hapiness that God is who he is and everything that that includes. I wish that feeling could last me a life time. Its a singing, smiling, jumping around in wieghtless atmosphere kind of feeling. It's God carrying you to places you didn't think you could get to on your own. I miss that feeling and I thought I could get it by getting a guy to take me those places instead. But it doesn't work like that. No one but God can take you there. I found a piece of scripture that put my "husband hunt" to rest. Luke 20: 27-36 It basically says that there is no marriage in Heaven and no marriage when we come to a new earth. So what would be the point of getting married at all? I told this to another friend of mine and she didn't quite agree and thought there were loop holes, saying "oh but I'll just go up to God and say hey but I really like this guy". Honestly in Heaven we are the Bride of God and I'm sure he wouldn't want our devotion and worship to be with another creation. God wants a real relationship with us, not someone to call upon during emergencies. He wants us to be happy with him, sad with him, confused with him, and inspired by him. So when you go out as God has planned you can express Gods will for everyone. To be happy and safe in him.
